If Vectra threads were Superhero's, MAXX would be The Hulk.
It's a jet-black monofilament with a strength to thickness ratio that's blowing minds around here. It seems like just yesterday we were amazed by threads that could support a fraction of a pound without being seen. Now suddenly... we're off the charts!
The heaviest thread we offer, MAXX is your invisible assistant on stage. It's a workhorse of a thread that won't fray and resists tangling. We're often asked if we have a thread that will hold a particularly heavy prop like a floating ball. You tell us... will this do the job?
That's a genuine 5-pound weight supported by a single strand of MAXX in a loop. (The glove ensures no fingers leave the hand) the picture was shot with an iPhone and has not been retouched or altered in any way.
In the proper conditions, Vectra MAXX is suitable for levitations but you're going to want to bring it into play where strength is the absolute priority. Its primary use will be for stage work and situations where you have control over your lighting and backdrop.
Use MAXX to...
- Animate and lift very heavy objects.
- Rig props and gimmicks like a pull for example.
- Smash through the limitations preventing you from achieving the impossible effect you've been dreaming of!
When you need a thread that's thin enough to enter the realm of "invisible", but you could use it to tie your shoes... There is no substitute for Vectra MAXX.
