The year is 1899 and the well known playing card designer Charles Goodall is sitting at his desk in London.
While he is sitting there listening to his phonograph he creates what I think are the most beautiful court cards of the Victorian era. High Fidelity Playing Cards is a reimagined deck of Goodall Playing Cards featuring scroll-work and ornamental patterns. The court cards are hand drawn to match the original court cards from the rare deck, one of which I happen to own.
18th century colors a vintage card back design along with a gorgeous tuck box with foil and embossing bring this deck to life.
